Terms of Service

Last updated: April 9, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Clipus platform ("Service"), operated by InsperLab Inc. ("Company," "we," "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Clipus is an AI-powered platform that generates multilingual short-form marketing videos from SaaS product demonstrations. The Service includes a Chrome browser extension for data collection, a Public REST API for programmatic access, third-party integrations (Slack Bot, MCP server for AI agents), a cloud-based AI processing pipeline, and automated multi-platform video distribution capabilities.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Chrome Extension Data Collection

The Clipus Chrome Extension collects the following data from web pages you explicitly choose to record:

  • DOM (Document Object Model) structure and text content
  • UI element coordinates and layout properties
  • Screenshots of the active browser tab
  • Click coordinates and user interaction events

Data collection occurs only on pages you actively select for recording and only while the extension recording feature is enabled. The extension does not collect data passively or from pages you do not select. The extension does not record video or audio.

During an active capture session, visible text on the page may be sent to our servers for translation pre-caching to improve video generation speed. This data is associated with the website domain only and contains no personal information.

Additionally, the extension includes an on-device OCR engine that detects and localizes text within captured screenshot images. This processing occurs entirely within your browser — no image data is sent to external servers for text detection purposes.

All captured data is automatically deleted from our servers 30 days after video generation is completed, unless you choose to retain it. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

5. User Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content you provide to the Service, including screenshots and data from your SaaS applications. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process this content solely for the purpose of generating videos as requested by you. We do not claim ownership of your content or the videos generated from it.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Record or process content from websites you do not own or have authorization to use
  • Generate videos containing misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive content
  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • Distribute malware or interfere with the Service's infrastructure
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without authorization

7. Public API and Integrations

Clipus provides a Public REST API, Slack Bot integration, and an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for AI agent integration (collectively, "API Services"). The following additional terms apply:

  • API Keys: API keys are confidential credentials. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your API keys. Do not share keys in public repositories, client-side code, or unsecured environments. Compromised keys should be revoked immediately.
  • Rate Limits: API calls are subject to per-plan rate limits (Growth: 10 requests/minute, Agency: 60 requests/minute). Exceeding rate limits will result in temporary throttling (HTTP 429).
  • Usage Quotas: API-generated videos consume the same monthly video credits as videos generated through the Chrome Extension or dashboard.
  • URL Restrictions: The API processes publicly accessible URLs only. You may not submit URLs to content you do not own or have authorization to use.
  • Webhooks: Webhook endpoints you configure must use HTTPS. We are not responsible for data exposure caused by insecure webhook receivers.
  • Slack Integration: The Slack Bot requires linking your Clipus account. Usage through Slack is subject to the same plan limits and acceptable use policies.
  • Third-Party AI Agents: When using Clipus via MCP-compatible AI agents (e.g., Claude, Cursor), you remain responsible for all actions initiated by those agents under your API key.

8. Payment and Billing

During the beta period, all features are available free of charge. When paid plans are introduced, they will be billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Refunds will be provided in accordance with our refund policy. Free tier usage is subject to the limitations specified on our pricing page.

Each subscription plan includes a monthly allocation of video generation credits and other usage-based resources ("Monthly Credits"). Monthly Credits reset at the beginning of each billing cycle and do not roll over to subsequent periods. Any unused credits at the end of a billing cycle are forfeited and have no cash value. Credits are non-transferable between accounts and may not be sold, exchanged, or redeemed for cash.

9. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service with reasonable notice. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, InsperLab Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless InsperLab Inc. from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles. For users outside Korea, disputes may also be subject to the laws of the user's jurisdiction where required by applicable consumer protection laws.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
